So last night, I was HeyTell-ing with this fine young man (actually, we were rapping Teach Me How To Dougie back and forth to each other - DO NOT JUDGE) when the subject of cussing came up. (I always look for the clean versions of songs to download - again, DO NOT JUDGE. ^_^)
Is it weird that I try my darndest not to say curse words? I know there are obvious times when swearing is totes appropes, but in those cases I just abbreviate. Like, I just say eff. Or fudge. Or GD. Or goshdarnit. Or ish/shiz. Or b (as in, you dumb b#%*@). I remember back in high school, my friends used to keep a running tally on how many times they had heard me cuss. When I graduated, it was still less than ten times. Lulz.
When people find out about this, they always ask if it’s against my religion or something. I dunnuh. I guess I just feel bad about doing it and I try not to if at all possible. I mean, if I’m REALLY angry or something and I’m yelling at somebody, I’m sure bad stuff will come outta my mouf…but honestly, can you imagine me being THAT mad at somebody? ROR.
Maybe I’m too much of a goody-goody? OMAIGAH I CANNUT CURLRLSE THAT IS SO SIRRY TEE-HEE-HEE!
I’m the middle of an intense battle with school rn. The only thing keeping me going at this point are my study breaks, where I dance to this. If you’re not shaking your ass between bouts with communication theory, you ain’t living.
